Sundance short “Actresses” depicts a realistic lesbian relationship
In the short film Actresses, a young actress (Taylor Hess) finds herself intrigued by the star of a play (Rebecca Henderson of Appropriate Behavior), and they end up spending the night together and embarking on a relationship that shows how commonalities aren’t always indicators of compatibility. Together, the women try to connect with one another without being preoccupied with their own egos.
Writer/director Jeremy Hersh premiered the short at Sundance last year, and it went on to play several film festivals throughout 2015, winning Best Short Film at the New Orleans Film Festival. We think it’s fantastic!
