The Secret Circle returns with new episodes Thursday and since we haven’t seen our friendly neighborhood witches for a spell, let’s refresh our memories and look at what’s new for the second half of the season. Besides Cassie’s bangs, I mean.
Dark Cassie
Now that Cassie (Britt Robertson) knows she’s the spawn of Balcoin, she’ll be exploring the dark side of magic. I don’t expect her to be as awesome as Dark Willow (as if anyone could be), but her new power will tick off Faye, and nothing is funnier than ticked off Faye.
The Other Blackwell
Cassie has a sibling – and it’s a member of the secret circle. Yep, John Blackwell spawned more than one dark witch. We’ll have to wait awhile to find out exactly who it is, but we’re all hoping it’s somebody we’re not shipping. Fandom always trumps plot in our Book of Shadows.
Mama Meade
A new elder’s in town – Charles’ mother Kate (Stepfanie Kramer from Hunters) – and she is not fond of her son’s BFF/crush Dawn. Whether Kate is good or evil remains to be seen, but we do know that she’s ready to protect her family at any cost. As effed up as Sonny Boy has been lately, let’s hope Mom will show him some love.
The Psychic Fiend
Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of Balcoin heirs? Lucy (Lauren Stamile) has some explaining to do when she comes to Chance Harbor. According to Stamile, her character is a psychic whose past is entwined with Cassie’s parents and she brings quite a bit of new information to the Circle.
Cute Girls and Puppies
OK, this has nothing to do with the actual storyline of The Secret Circle, but Phoebe Tonkin has a new puppy named Lola. Not showing you these two adorable faces together would just be wrong.
