Morning Brew – Thursday, Dec. 8: Madonna kisses Nicki Minaj, Pitbull will play Santana’s older brother

Thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes all. You’re the best.

Nerve has a sweet story of a 17-year-old lesbian’s first time with a girl.

Candace Gingrich-Jones was a guest on The Rachel Maddow Show last night, discussing her brother’s run for President and how he did not come to her wedding. (She’s a lesbian.)

Holly Miranda looks creeptastic in this new video with, fittingly, queer duo CREEP for their song “Animals.”

Lea Michele says she enjoys Rachel’s expanding wardrobe on Glee. She told Vulture:

Playing with her wardrobe is so fun. I’ve got to tell you something: I work with some of the most beautiful girls in this business. If you know what Dianna Agron looks like at six in the morning, it’s stunning – like, it’s gorgeous – but when I come in sometimes in these new Rachel Berry outfits, I get some double takes from the boys. It’s like, “All right, Rachel! You’ve got it going on!” [Laughs.]

They both look pretty cold on the set of a Grease-themed Glee episode filming this week. Actually, Heather Morris has it the worst in that short Cheerios skirt.

Juno Temple has joined the cast of The Complete Linda Lovelace. I’d love to see her getting close Linda (Amanda Seyfried). Neither are strangers to lady love on camera!

If you are looking for a book to read and then a subusquent discussion with the author, check out Zippermouth by Laurie Weeks then head over to The Rumpus: Book Club to read an interview with the lesbian author about her very queer book.

Beverly McCllellan has a diverse taste in music. She told The Miami Herald:

I’m all over the spectrum. I can appreciate Johnny Cash and turn around and thug all night listening to Trina or Lil’ Kim. Music is universal. As long as it’s good, it doesn’t matter what kind it is.

Trina! That is some sexy stuff, Beverly! I can totally see her bumping The Baddest Bitch around Florida.

Brandi Carlile talked to Taste of Country about her recent performance at the Grand Ole Opry and how she came to write the song “Same Old You” for Miranda Lambert. She says of the song:

I just got to thinking one day about my country music influences and my roots. And I made a mental note of the fact that I let it kind of come out of my guitar playing and my voice and my melodies, but I’ve never really written a lyric along the lines of a Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn song. I got to thinking about some of the men in my family. The men in my family are really cute. They’re funny. They have this propensity to be soft-spoken and quiet, and it can appear to be aloof or just kind of complacent, and all the women are outspoken and strong and they’re constantly annoyed at the fact that the men just kind of look down at the ground and walk around and don’t really say how they feel.

The New York Times posed some of the year’s top actors as infamous villains. Rooney Mara does a great job as Alex from A Clockwork Orange. I like that they gave her a dude’s role. She said of her chosen villain:

here is something off about Alex, something slightly androgynous and something much more fascinating and complex than simply a ‘villain.’ I also knew it would save me time in hair and makeup with only having to apply one fake eyelash.

Adepero Oduye (Pariah) is pictured as The Outlaw, Ms. Bonnie Parker from Bonnie and Clyde.

Pitbull has been cast as Santana’s big brother on Glee. This makes Gloria Estefan his mother, too. Apparently they are in Ohio by way of Miami.

Goldfrapp is releasing The Singles on Feb. 6. The out singer poses seductively on the album’s cover.

Nicki Minaj Tweeted that she and Madonna shared a Britney-Madge moment on the set of a video yesterday.

She went on to say she hopes someone recorded it so she can see footage, and that it was “more romantic” than the Britney VMA kiss. The two are working on the video of “Give Me All Your Love,” a song they did for Madonna’s forthcoming album.

And Rihanna wants to wish Nicki a very happy birthday today.

Sara Rue returns as lesbian Brenda to Rues of Engagement tonight. Looks like she enjoys eating as much as I do.
