Sometimes it’s good to be bad. The new third season of The Good Wife seems primed for some bad behavior and bad attitudes. The hit drama returns for its third season in its new 9 p.m. Sunday night timeslot Sept. 25. Let’s just say bad looks good on Alicia.
The new third season trailer is filled with bad blood as well.
Looks like the bad blood between Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and best friend Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) persists after the revelation at the end of last season Kalinda slept with her husband. Though, to be fair, it was before Kalinda and Alicia were BFFs. Not that that seems to matter.
While the new season has yet to debut, already a slew of talented guest stars are lined up to appear. Former House star Lisa Edelstein has been on set this week to shoot her role as a lawyer with past ties to Will (Josh Charles). Edelstein and Charles, who worked together briefly on Sports Night, tweeted each other some good-natured pictures from the set. Or perhaps they’re foreshadowing and the characters come to extreme blows.
Yesterday, TVLine.com reported that another high-profile actress has signed up for the season as well. Veteran indie queen Parker Posey has been tapped to play the estranged wife of his campaign strategist Eli Gold (Alan Cumming). She will make her debut on the show in October.
And, the show is even going to get another gay storyline as Alicia’s gay brother (played Dallas Roberts, Angus the manny from The L Word) will get a boyfriend this season. Now let’s get Kalinda a girlfriend and this show could start rivaling Glee as the gayest show on TV.
So, excited for the new season? Ready for the good to go bad? Just never lose the boots, Kalinda, and everything will be OK.
