“True Blood” gets even gayer

If your Christmas wish is for HBO’s True Blood to up the screen time Vampire League head Nan Flanagan (Jessica Tuck) gets for the series’ upcoming fourth season, then get your pens out and put a big rainbow-colored check mark next to it.

According to Deadline.com, the Alan Ball vampire drama has promoted Tuck from recurring to series regular for Season 4, which goes into production after the Thanksgiving holiday.

Looks like GLAAD’s gayest show on TV continues to find new ways to out-gay itself. But wait, there’s more!

We know you were worried about The L Word‘s Papi, aka Janina Gavankar, getting work after the CW’s The Gates met its maker. Looks like Ball was impressed with the gay on Gavankar’s résumé as the actress has been cast to play Luna, a sexy public school teacher and shapeshifter. (Sounds like the casting notice we first mentioned in October.) Gavankar will also be a series regular.

Other newbies joining Sookie (Anna Paquin) and company include Alexandra Breckenridge (Life Unexpected, Dirt) as Daisy, a member of a Wiccan group founded by new series regular Fiona Shaw; and Vedette Lim, who will play Naomi, a fierce fighter who participates in underground cage matches for money. Lim’s Naomi was first described as a cage fighter who gets “hot-‘n’-heavy” with one of her female competitors, so it’s worth keeping an eye out to see which team the fierce fighter plays for.

Breckenridge and Lim are both signed on to recur in Season 4.

Truebies, is your head spinning with all the gayness? Who do you want to see Naomi spar with first? Sounds like a job for Kristin Bauer’s Pam to me.
