A few weeks ago, we told you about the possibility that Archie Panjabi‘s character, Kalinda, on CBS’s The Good Wife is bisexual. Lesbians and bisexual women everywhere squealed with joy at the possibility of the Bend it Like Beckham hottie canoodling with another badass women like herself after a long day of kicking ass and taking names.
However, this week, Entertainment Weekly‘s “Ausellio Files” reported that The Good Wife producers are casting Kalinda’s potential love interest – and it’s a bro.
WTF happened to Donna? Wasn’t she supposed to be Kalinda’s boo nasty? I’m so sad right now. We want Donna back!
Apparently, said love interest is “Ryan: a hot-headed police investigator.” The nature of their initial meeting? Ryan “ends up owing her a, ahem, favor. She’ll have time to, ahem, collect on said favor since it looks like the role wile be recurring.” Since heterosexual subtext is the easiest to pick up, I’m pretty sure you understand what this “favor” will be. Gross.
But before all the biphobia starts up, let’s keep in mind that there is still the possibility that Kalinda is bisexual. “Bisexuality,” kids, being interested in men and women, remember? And that’s AOK!
In the meantime, let’s hope that this dude is more “hot-headed” than hot, and that Donna will come traipsing back into the picture and into Kalinda’s leather-jacketed arms. That’s a beautiful image.
