Will Eve return for Season 3 of “How to Get Away with Murder”?

How to Get Away With Murder‘s Executive Producer Pete Nowalk confirmed that Famke Janssen will be returning as Annalise’s on again/off again love, Eve, on Season 3, which premieres next Thursday night on ABC.

“Eve will come back,” Pete told us at TCA. “Famke is the most amazing, generous actor. We left them up in the air so she’s coming back for one episode. Luckily we were able to do that with her new show starting, so we just actually wrote that episode. I won’t tell you which one, but I think it will be really beautiful.”

Sadly, it doesn’t sound like we’ll get enough of Eve as Famke is starring in NBC’s The Blacklist spinoff, Redemption, but we’re still getting plenty of Annalise Keating (played by the Emmy-winning Viola Davis), one of the best bisexual leads on television, and one of few that is also a WOC. Pete said the show is “very lucky” that Annalise has chemistry with a lot of different kinds of people—men and women—and that ABC allows the out showrunner to explore Annalise’s sexuality.

“I don’t know if there’s another network [that would allow that],” Pete said. “I mean, TV and sexual, bisexual, whatever you want to call her—I think that just shows how far TV has come, how far the world has come, so it’s been really lovely. I love writing them.”

It’s hard to know if one episode will wrap up the Eve/Annalise storyline or just leave it, again, to be continued. Nonetheless, Season 3 continues with the murder, the mystery and the many lovers of Annalise on Thursday, September 22 on ABC.
