Paula Vogel‘s new play, Indecent, tells the tale of the 1923 Broadway show God of Vengeance, which was shut down by the police for its lesbian kiss. (It was the first in Broadway history.) It’s playing now at the Vineyard Theatre in NYC.

If you’ve been on Twitter in the past few days, you’ve probably heard about the #TooFemale hashtag, which sprung up in response to CBS passing on Sarah Shahi’s Nancy Drew pilot for being “too female” as reported by Deadline. Needless to say, Twitter wasn’t thrilled. Now there’s even a shirt commemorating the hashtag.
