And we’re not talking like hey let me give you a cut you might need a bandaid for. Abby Griffin stabs her daughter in the chest. Not once, but twice, while Clarke looked her mother in the eye and begged her to stop, to come back to her, to fight Alie’s hold.
Abby turns to Alie and says that she knew Clarke wouldn’t break just to stop her own pain and that they need to use her friends. Abby recommends starting with Bellamy.
Down in the tunnels, Team Skaikru is being dragged around by brainwashed trikru when Murphy shows up and liberates the prisoners. As Indra helps Octavia to her feet, Octavia realizes that Pike is with them, and can’t believe Indra would fight alongside such a monster. On top of the 300 soldiers, Pike killed Lincoln. Made him get on his knees and shot him, point blank. Indra repeats the point Murphy made, that they have to work together if they hope to get out of it, but Octavia isn’t sold.
Bellamy tells Murphy that Clarke is in trouble, which to Murph is the equivalent of “Timmy’s down the well.” The two teams go back and forth about whether to go in and fight or make a break for it and ultimately decide the only way to stop Alie is to keep on keeping on.
The plan is that some people are going to go in the elevator while the rest turn the crank and stand guard. Once Team 1 is up, Team 2 will climb up the ladder, destroying it as they go so no one can follow them up. Bellamy and Murphy go up, and despite being the second best fighter there (and second to the best fighter), Octavia decides to stay on the ground team to keep an eye on Pike.
Indra can see Octavia wound up like a cobra ready to strike but says now is not the time to go full Floorheda on his ass. They need his help, or now. Octavia looks at Indra and says that Lincoln was her home, but Indra talks to her in Trig, saying, “Your home is here,” and pointing to Octavia’s heart, too big for the floor to contain.
Kane interrupts this beautiful moment with gunfire, hitting almost everyone and grinding the elevator to a temporary halt. This pause allows trikru on that floor to pry open the doors and fight the boys while down below they struggle to finish cranking the elevator up.
