After running around in circles for a minute, Piek doubles back to find the prisoners gone and he’s mad that he fell for their trap. He runs off again, but the prisoners aren’t out yet at all; Octavia hid them in the floor, because of course she did.
The team works together to start to sneak out, and at great risk to himself, Monty buys them more time by sending the guards in the wrong direction. Pike orders a full lockdown, and the fugitives sneak through the hole in the wall Octavia uses to come and go.
Abby is going to stay behind, probably because she can’t leave Raven, but also because if all of the good people leave Arkadia, they’ll blow up the entire planet in a week’s time. She still thinks she can fix this. So Kane kisses her and leaves her behind.
Pike uses the walkies to say that if they don’t turn themselves in, he’ll kill the trikru prisoners they left behind. Octavia begs Lincoln to come with him, but he can’t do that. She says fine, she’ll stay and fight with him. He kisses her and tranqs her, knowing she wouldn’t go without him, knowing he couldn’t let her stay. Kane carries her away and Lincoln turns himself in.
In Polis, Ontari takes a bath.
Murphy and Ontari bond weirdly until Roan comes in and demands to know where Wanheda is, because he knows she has the flame. Titus confesses to giving it to her, and Ontari orders Titus killed. Roan says they need Titus, so Titus does the job for him, falling on his sword, so to speak. For Lexa.
Ontari is like fine whatever we’ll just tell everyone I ascended, no one knows the Flame isn’t in her. She has a three-point plan: Build a pyre, burn Lexa’s body, find Wanheda. She truly was raised by the Ice Queen. And I can’t wait for Clarke to kill her dead.
Clarke sees the pyre and hears the horn, but she’s already well outside Polis. She has the flame in her breast pocket, right over her heart, and takes it out to look at her. Her and Lexa are on this journey together. Her eyes fill with tears as she tucks Lexa back into her heart and rides her unicorn off into the sunset.
