Morning Brew – Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson on if they’ll ever hook up on “Broad City”

Good morning! Happy Friday!

Beth Ditto talks about her new plus size fashion line and femme-ininity in today’s LENNY newsletter.

Gia Goodrich‘s Love Wins project is all about lurve.

Perhaps you are into print not dying. Check out A Title magazine.

The stars of Broad City are in Out magazine this month, and Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson talk about the queerness of their characters and the show, and if they will ever hook up on screen.

Glazer: If they hooked up, would it be for us, or for the male gaze?

Jacobson: Are people watching this, waiting for us to have a sex scene? That’s not what this is about.

Glazer: I was just reading this article in which Lena [Dunham] interviewed Gloria Steinem. There was this awesome quote where Gloria said that your old lovers become some of your closest friends. And I find that too. And I like that all that can exist in the same space: sexual, romantic, friendly feelings. That’s sexual fluidity to me.

This is supposedly proof Kendall Jenner is a lesbian. Meanwhile Khloe Kardashian says she’s never hooked up with a woman.

“I’ve never hooked up with a girl. But I’m not… I don’t care, I’m not uncomfortable with that. It’s just never been my thing. I’m super flirtatious and everyone thinks that I have hooked up with girls, for some reason. I’m just nice and affectionate. I like to be a girl’s’ girl and party.”

Chinese film Run for Love is not Sapphic-themed, as the trailer might have you believe.

Marie Claire remembers Pamela Moore, who wrote the lesbianish novel Chocolates for Breakfast.

Margaret Cho has a great interview with Time Out Hong Kong.

“The truth is, homosexuality is not anti-Christian. There is no reason why God would create gay people if he/she thought there was something wrong with it. There is so much wrong with the idea that religious people can exercise their rights over anyone. And if they were truly religious they would turn the other cheek.”

Great news, Aussies! Janet King is returning for another season on March 24.

Amber Rose won “Most Likely to Steal Your Girl” at the All Def Movie Awards because of course she did.
