Today the White House finally played host to the United States Women’s National Soccer Team with President Obama honoring the World Cup champions. The players also presented POTUS with a jersey of his own, which he looked genuinely thrilled to receive.
“These champions deserve all the attention that they’ve been getting,” Obama said during his remarks. “After 16 long years, too many heartbreaks, they flew north to put America back on top of the soccer world and they did it in style.”
