“They knew before they saw it, so they kind of dealt with it before everyone else did. They just understood where the artistry was coming from as far as acting, and that’s about it. They were okay with it; I think she’s dramatic.”

But I consider myself lucky to live in a time when people are starting to see that sexuality and gender identity can be as open and fluid as we allow it to be.”
A lesbian from Cameroon has been denied asylum from Spain. She was outed in her city last year by a local newspaper, and homosexuality is a punishable offense in Cameroon.
