Oxygen’s new show Funny Girls follows a group of female comics as they try to make a name for themselves in L.A.’s competitive comedy scene. Among them is out lesbian Scout Durwood, who you may remember from such videos as “Lesbian First Date.”
Scout is a burlesque performer, cabaret singer and ukulele player, as well as a playwright. Basically, there’s nothing she can’t do. Unfortunately, the trailer for the series seems to focus more heavily on the straight girl drama happening with her co-stars. There is a Margaret Cho appearance to lighten the mood!
Funny Girls premieres April 7 on Oxygen, but you can follow Scout now (@scoutdurwood) to see when she’ll be performing near you.
