Morning Brew – Samira Wiley upped to a regular on “OITNB” Season 3

Good morning! Still reeling from that Faking It finale? If you’ve watched it and were, perhaps, a little outraged, I share in your feelings.

Buzzfeed talked with creator Carter Covington about what he has planned for Season 2.

Pretty Little Liars has been renewed for sixth and seventh seasons. I give you permission to freak out now.

This means Marlene King is keeping pretty busy, though, so the Now & Then reboot that is in the works might take some time.

Amelie Mauresmo has officially started her gig as Andy Murray‘s coach and she looks good doing it.

Folk singer Amy Andrews spoke with the Windy City Times about coming out as gay.

There was a teacher who was openly gay and I thought of her as such a great role model. I wanted to be open with whom I was because she was very open and comfortable. Maybe it was part of being in an arts school or the changing times of those years.

Lesbian teachers: Helping budding young baby dykes since the beginning of time.

Remember that cute Sara Bareilles video for “I Choose You”? Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how she helped a lesbian couple get engaged.

I appreciate this video of Lena Hall doing mash-ups in boy briefs very much. She’s in character as Yitzhak from Hedwig and the Angry Inch, on Broadway now. She just won a Tony for the roll!

Speaking of Tonys, Rosie O’Donnell received an honorary award at the ceremony over the weekend.

Maria Bello radiated on the red carpet for her new film Third Person.

Laura Prepon visited with Kathie Lee and Hoda yesterday.

She joined some other castmembers on The Today Show, too.

Meanwhile Samira Wiley (my fave inmate) has been upped to a regular for Season 3!. More Poussey is always a good thing.

Gone Home was featured on MSNBC’s Ronan Farrow show yesterday. Can I get a “Hell yes!” for lesbian-themed video games?

Lesbian duo The Lovebirds were named Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk winners. Congrats to the former couple, whose album is aptly named Breakup Shmakeup.

The new TVLand show Jennifer Falls has a straight woman (played by Missi Pyle) coaching a softball team called The L.A. Lesbians. Not sure how much we’ll see of any lesbian characters, but she did bring a few teammates to the bar post-game in the pilot.
