Morning Brew – Ellen Page talks relationships, coming out in “Hollywood Reporter”

Good morning! We’ll start with a little #TBT. Here’s Kelly McGillis posing in 1987.

Ellen Page is everywhere right now and I’m not complaining – especially about this Hollywood Reporter interview. First, let’s watch this video:

Now read the interview because you will not regret it. And if you can’t read, enjoy the photos.

In related swoon-worthy photoshoots, Angelina Jolie dons a suit in the new Elle.

The Real World: Ex-Plosion‘s Ari and Ashley want to teach you how to kiss.

Part of my job description is to alert you to any new job Jennifer Beals takes on, so please know that she has been cast in a movie called The Rocking Horsemen.

Evan Rachel Wood is going to be part of a true crime movie called Facing the Wind.

Kirsten Vangsness stopped by The Couch to chat about the new season of Criminal Minds and her own film Kiss Me Deadly. I love her.

I know a lot of lesbian educators so I enjoyed this piece from The Independent: “Some Teachers are LGBT. Get Over It.”

Ray Donovan Season 1 is now available on Blu-Ray and DVD for your Kate Moennig fix. (There’s not nearly enough of her.)

Speaking of Shane, though, she will be making an appearance at Chicago Pride this year the Backlot Bash.

What ever happened to Ross Gellar’s ex-wife, Carol? Well Jane Sibbett is now focused on producing documentaries vs. acting.

Nintendo isn’t allowing for any gay relationships in its new Sims-like game because they aren’t trying to create “social commentary.” Sigh.

Judy Gold wants to be a permanent fixture on our TV screens. She told The Boston Herald:

“I don’t need to be the star, just a memorable, lovable, relevant character. The neighbor or friend or something.”
We really need more lesbian neighbors and friends on TV, so hopefully someone will make this happen.

The Happy Mess has a really cool new video for their song “Backyard Girl.” Sometimes black and white really adds something. (Thanks Sofia!)
