I love it when the ladies of Saturday Night Live get together for magazine shoots because there is never enough of them in one place. Cosmopolitan read my diary and staged the current female cast members in a big slumber party while asking them some fun questions. They also make a note that Kate McKinnon is “the show’s first openly gay female cast member” and that Sasheer Zamata is its “first black female comic in six years.” Aidy Bryant, Cecily Strong, Nasim Pedrad, Noel Wells and Vanessa Bayer are in on the fun, too.
Kate McKinnon’s Q&A was complete with talk of kissing and a photo of her posing with some pizza. This is why she’s a star.
