Morning Brew – Caitlin Cahow is gay and awesome on “The Today Show”

Good morning!

Marlee Matlin will guest star on Glee as a Nationals Judge. She tweeted this photo from the set:

Julia Roberts said she’d totally be down to appear on Glee sometime. Meanwhile I’m still waiting for Anne Hathaway to play Kurt’s lesbian aunt like she wanted.

Romy Rosemont, aka Finn Hudson’s mom, is going to play “Amanda, the quirky and sometimes challenging mother of Mariana’s (Cierra Ramirez) new friend (and potential love interest!) Zac” on The Fosters. She’ll make her first appearance on March 3.

You know what I love about this lesbian penguin couple? Penguins mate for life. U-Haul penguin style.

This is something new: “My Lesbian Boss Fired Me For Being Straight,” says straight dude.

Caitlin Cahow went on The Today Show to discuss going to Sochi as part of the official U.S. delegation. She answers Matt Lauer’s “blunt” questions perfectly. Hell yes, Caitlin!

Tam O’Shaughnessy talked with The Windy City Times about her relationship with the late Sally Ride. They met when they were 12-years-old, and Tam even took tennis lessons from Billie Jean King. Here’s Tam on Sally’s not coming out:

Sally never verbally, openly told her mother, her father, or her sister, Bear, that she was gay and that we were a couple. But Sally never hid it from them-you know, I went everywhere with Sally, and she went everywhere with me … in our different careers and with our friends, and for family holidays. So over the almost three decades, I was really part of the Ride family. And her parents are really smart-especially her mother and her sister-they knew a long time ago that we were a couple. And her mother is very progressive. Sally easily could have told her a long time ago, and Joyce Ride would not have cared, she would not have blinked. But it just shows how strong Sally’s sense of privacy was, and also I think fear.
Carol is finally going to start filming, and part of it is happening in Cincinnati, Ohio. An interesting move considering the book was set in New York City.

Mary Lambert went on HLN to talk “Same Love” and being nominated for a Grammy.

AE reader Margaret sent in this awesome tip about Lanakila MacNaughton and her amazing “The Women’s Motorcycle Exhibit.” If you like bikes, you’ll love her work.
