Afternoon Delight: Melissa Etheridge’s Uprising of Love

Good afternoon everyone! Sorry for my absence, I’m been busy working on the amazing Queen Latifah Show. On today’s episode I play an elf for our holiday gift guide segment.

Melissa Etheridge is a co-founder of the new social movement Uprising of Love, aiming to help Russia’s LGBT community. In this clip from a CNN interview, she explains why the cause matters:

And earlier this week Etheridge debuted her new song “Uprising Love” during a fundraiser for Russia Freedom Fund.

 

Grammy-nominated comedian Tig Notaro will be taking the stage at Largo (366 N. La Cienega Blvd.) in Los Angeles. Tickets are now on sale for the Tuesday, December 17 performance of Tig Has Friends. (Aw shucks, that’s what I was going to call my next comedy special.)
