Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall picked up the Golden Gate Award at the 2011 GLAAD Media Awards in San Francisco over the weekend. While on the blue (yes, blue) carpet she was kind enough to run down her personal AfterEllen.com Hot 100 picks. Her Top 5, in no particular order: “I am a great fan of those women who I looked up to when I was coming up as a young actress,” Kim said, “and they would be people like Judi Dench and Glenda Jackson and Janet Suzman and Helen Mirren. Those were the actresses who I followed. Jane Fonda was just a huge, huge inspiration to me. They would still be my pick for the women who are just going beyond expectation. I feel like a kid in this area. I’m in my 50s and I feel like I’m just getting started. But they’re in their 70s and they’re still turning pages and making career choices that really, really have influenced me and inspired me.”
You’ve got to admit, the lady has good taste. Between them the actresses have 20 Academy Award, 15 Emmy, 28 BAFTA and 36 Golden Globe nominations or wins. Talent is hot, pass it on.
