Lindsay Lohan’s latest “Interview”

Actress Lindsay Lohan is the cover girl for Interview magazine this month, and along with some nifty black and white photos (see below), the interview includes a conversation between Lohan and veteran model-actress Lauren Hutton.

A portion of the article is available online at the Interview website, and you can watch a short video of the Interview photo shoot below.

Hutton writes a long introduction to the interview, speculating about the toll fame must take on young actors in today’s paparazzi-driven media, and it’s obvious that she’s sympathetic and already a Lohan fan ("she’s really good and she’s got that twinkle magic of a star").

When they sit down to talk, they hit on all the usual actress-y topics: driving too fast, being misunderstood by the press, and astrology. Then they take a pee break.

In one part of the interview, Hutton asks Lohan’s which emotions are easiest for her to access when acting. Lohan’s reply is interesting.

It’s funny because being comedic and happy and lighthearted is who I am as a person, so they’re easier emotions for me to connect with. The challenge is accessing pain, angst, depression. . . It’s more exciting because it gives me somewhere to go and allows me to tap into a part of myself that everyone can relate to. But movies can change things. If you’re fighting with your boyfriend, you can go to the movies and cry it out and leave happy because the ending of the film is happy.

I wonder if the same can be true if you’re fighting with your girlfriend?
