“Black. Feminist. Blogger” is a funny, biting look at the world of online feminism

Meet Latoya, a smart, driven, young writer who works for a feminist website (Sapphire Mouth Magazine) that aspires to be the next Jezebel. Between endless calls from her incompetent editor (who would rather have Latoya write fluff pieces about Taylor Swift‘s cousin than the hard-hitting topical pieces that she wants to tackle), trying to win back her ex-girlfriend, and actually paying her bills, Latoya is at her wit’s end.

Written by and starring the engaging Aph Ko, the comedic web series is inspired by her own experiences and does not shy away from addressing the sometimes less than savory side of blogging. In one episode, when Latoya writes a piece that generates hundreds of vitriolic and racist comments, she is horrified to find out who is actually orchestrating the attack. Latoya’s experiences will have you laughing and cringing at the same time.

The show kicked off in December so you can binge watch the first 10 episodes, with new episodes premiering on Mondays. Here’s the first one to get you started.
