50 Hot Women in Comedy

It’s true, I spend most nights lying awake wondering “Can men be hot, but also funny?” But now, thanks to Buzzfeed’s list of the The 50 Hottest Men In Comedy, I know that it is not only possible, but I should probably lay off the caffeine before bed.

What I don’t know, is if the female list is in the works or if they’re struggling to name more than five female comics without using Ellen. Not that there’s anything wrong with Ellen, obviously she is the OG, but I’m aiming for the comedians out there pounding the pavement, the festivals and the showcases.

A note on the criteria for inclusion: Hot, wildly hilarious. And hot. Here is our list of 50 Hot Women in Comedy.

Julee Antonellis and Petey Gibson

These ladies’ brand of gender-bending comedy is outrageous, and their charm and unmatched chemistry definitely doesn’t hurt. Their stand-up, sketch and musical comedy show, The Gibson/Antonellis Comedy Hour, recently made it to the Women In Comedy Festival in Boston.

Elicia Sanchez

Elicia Sanchez

One of the hardest working comics in the Pacific Northwest, Sanchez produces not one but three shows in Seattle–the weekly comedy variety show Level Up!, the monthly showcase Wine Shots: Comedy’s Happiest Hour and a monthly podcast The Enematic Cinematic: LIVES!

Kellye Howard

Saying Kellye Howard is high-energy is an understatement. Her blend of in your face comedy landed her on Page Hurwitz‘s reality show for the OWN network, My Life is a Joke, and Nickelodeon’s NickMom.

Thea Lux

Lux is a multi-talented comedian/actor/musician and one of the founding members of the Chicago theater company The New Colony. She performed in the comedy 5 Lesbian’s Eating a Quiche which is all I needed to hear.

Ali Clayton

Ali is a proud Southern girl who’s performed all over Chicago, most notably in her one-woman show I’m Different, Not Dumb, about her struggle growing up with Dyslexia and ADHD.
