Meryl Streep’s “Complicated” hot streak continues

Hey, I don’t know if you’ve heard, but Meryl Streep is awesome. I know, I know — old news. But it’s totally worth repeating in light of Julie & Julia’s $20.1 million take at the box office this weekend. The film is well on its way to being another hit for Meryl and she is not even done for the year.

Up next for Meryl is the romantic comedy for grown-ups, It’s Complicated. The film shows her in all her sexy splendor as the object of affection of two men, her ex-husband (Alec Baldwin) and her architect (Steve Martin). Get down with your bad self, Meryl.

If Meryl is a bit of a slut, then I am already in line for my ticket. The movie by writer-director-producer Nancy Meyers, proves once again — like in her previous hit Something’s Gotta Give — that women over 50 can still be smoking hot.

Also, how much do I love that this film is age appropriate? (Meryl is 60, Alec is 51 and Steve is 63.) This is what happens when you let women write and direct their own stories; they make them awesome.

So, what do you think? Are you already in line, too? Hey, lady, no cutting. I was here first.
