British director Pratibha Parmar’s food-filled lesbian romantic comedy (one of my favorite genres, by the way), Nina’s Heavenly Delights, is screening next month at the 6th Annual Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival in New York. According to the film’s synopsis, it’s “an exhilarating love story where Scottish humour meets Bollywood spectacle.” Now, you don’t get that every day.
If I were in New York on Friday, Nov. 3 at 8:30 p.m., I sure would head on over to the Anthology Film Archives (32 East 2nd St.) to catch the screening. Go here for details on how to get tickets. The director herself has informed us that there will be an after-party directly after the Nov. 3 screening at Chanto. Yum!
