Morning Brew – Lady Gaga shows up for Orlando at LA Vigil

Good morning. Hope you are holding up OK in the wake of this tragedy in Orlando.

I went to the vigil in Los Angeles last night and it helped. Lady Gaga came out to help share some inspiring words and read some of the names of the deceased, including Kimberly “KJ” Morris.

A brief history of attacks on gay and lesbian bars.

The National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs found that murders of LGBT people went up in the last year, even prior to Orlando.

Orlando was most definitely a hate crime against LGBT people.
