I hate to admit it, but I think sometimes it’s better to let other people fight your fight for you. It’s good that the heterosexual community is being supportive because, otherwise, I don’t know that your point is taken as well. It’s like, “Oh, well of course you want gay marriage, you’re gay.” I think when heterosexual people are talking to their peers and they’re like, “This is an equal rights thing,” it’s a little bit easier. People know who I am. They know where I stand.
