Tina Fey talks “Sisters,” Golden Globes and upcoming Fortune Feimster pilot

Tina Fey will host the Golden Globes with BFF Amy Poehler for the last time this Sunday.

“We did a three year deal so this is the last one,” Tina said during an appearance at TCA promoting her new Netflix show The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. She joked that she was nervous because, “we haven’t written the show yet, so we gotta hurry up.”

The beloved writer/producer/actor says she loves working with Amy because they work so well together. They even plan their wardrobes around one another.

“Amy and I luckily get along very well in that way,” Tina said. “We’re both easy going about it and we are very supportive like, ‘What do you got? OK great, I’ll wear this. We couldn’t be a more pleasant pair in that way.”

Tina and Amy also co-star in out SNL writer Paula Pells upcoming film, Sisters (formerly The Nest).

“It comes out next December and it’s really funny,” Tina said. “It’s got a lot of really funny friends of ours in it, so I think you’ll enjoy it.”

Tina also said she enjoys acting but really loves writing for other people, which is what she’s doing with The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which stas Ellie Kemper and premieres March 6.

“Having been a writer at Saturday Night Live, I already knew the joy of writing for someone else and trying to set someone else up to be funny, so it’s very enjoyable for us,” Tina said. “The upsides of acting in things is mostly getting your hair done and having people give you clothes so as long as you have a little bit of that in your life, it’s just as delightful to be behind the camera.”

Another project Tina has coming up is a sitcom based on out comic Fortune Feimster‘s life. Fortune was the star of Tina’s failed Fox pilot Cabot College.

Matt Hubbard is developing a new show for Fortune that’s more autobiographical about her,” Tina said, “so that’s the phoenix that rose out of Cabot College.”
