Morning Brew – “Carol” is finally hitting theaters next fall

Good morning!

In news we’ve been waiting damn near forever for, Carol (aka The Price of Salt adaptation starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara as lovers) will be hitting theaters nationwide next fall. Director Todd Hayes shared the news during a recent public talk with Killer Films’ (out) producer Christine Vachon. That means we’re likely to see it at some festivals within the next year, so you might even be able to see it beforehand. Until then, someone made a great fan vid with all of the images from set.

The Philadelphia Inquirer has a profile of out lesbian Rabbi Deborah Waxman and how she’s making history at her college.

Sharpe Suiting hosted a Kickstarter kick-off event last week in L.A. and Dapper Q was there to cover it all. If you like the idea of a custom suit for you or your LGBTQ friends, then you might want to check them out. (Yes, that model is totally Kelsey from The Real L Word.)

Erin Foley was a guest on The Laugh Factory podcast recently, and you will super enjoy it if you love sports.

I’m just going to leave this right here: “She Was a Lesbian Porn Star Until She Claims a ‘Vision’ Shook Her to the Core — and Led Her to Evangelical Christianity.” OK so was she a lesbian who did porn, or a woman who did lesbian porn? I cannot tell.

Thirteen babes from NYC shared their coming out stories with Refinery 29.

Speaking of NY, the power couple that is Becca McCharen of CHROMAT and Christine Tran of Witches of Bushwick are featured on

Hemming (aka Candice from The Linda Perry Project) has released a new song called “Vitamins” and it apparently made Linda Perry cry.

But this is the shit that makes me cry, right here.

NCIS star and ally Pauley Perrette discussed the recent equal marriage non-rulings with Larry King.

Fox has ordered four more episodes of Red Band Society, so hopefully more lesbian moms are involved.

Wanda Sykes is on The Talk today. Here’s a little preview!
