Gossip Girl fanatics (myself included, so don’t feel ashamed), breathed a collective sigh of relief this past Monday when the show finally returned with a new episode after what felt like an eternity away. In reality, it was only about a month. A long, agonizingly painful month without Blake Lively and Leighton Meester.
But now, we can all go back to our normal routines that involve kicking off the week with some completely unrealistic, hypersexual teenage drama. The fact that the show was back was enough to satisfy us, surely, but Rolling Stone‘s April cover story and photos of the cast have completely spoiled us.
Photographer Terry Richardson is a) maybe one of the luckiest people alive and b) had a genius vision with his suggestions that Lively and Meester do things like:
He seriously has his finger on the pulse of the lesbian Gossip Girl fan community. And these photos surely won’t get us to stop hoping for a Serena-Blair hookup anytime soon. Way to fan the flame, Richardson. But, really, truly, thank you!
And, hey, if Serena and Blair are just too good of friends to hook up, we will totally settle for Blair and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr), thanks to Richardson’s impressive artistic vision pointing out that possibility.
The April issue of Rolling Stone, complete with an actual story, you know, with words (if you can manage to pry your eyes off the photos) is on stands now. There’s also a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot to watch on the site.
