Afternoon Delight: Miss Piggy is a fashion icon, Oprah and Rosie do tequila shots


Happy belated birthday to out tennis player Martina Navratilova! Navratilova turned 55 yesterday.

Saved actress and adorable songstress Mandy Moore will be coming to the small screen — well, hopefully. ABC has bought a single-camera half-hour comedy starring Moore as “a young newlywed.” Shawn Levy (Real Steel) is attached to direct the untitled pilot.

Queer as Folk’s Thea Gill is starring in the stage play Dusk Rings A Bell. The story is about a brief high school romance between Molly and Ray, who then meet by chance 25 years later. Dusk Rings A Bell runs until November 13 at the 2nd Stage Theatre (6500 Santa Monica Blvd. Hollywood, CA.)

On Saturday, November 12 the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian center will host their 40th Anniversary Gala & Auction honoring Chaz Bono and featuring Jane Lynch. The silent auction begins at 6 p.m. at The Westin Bonaventure Hotel (404 S. Figueroa Street, Downtown Los Angeles).The night will also honor How I Met Your Mother’s Neil Patrick Harris and his fiancé David Burtka.

Kristen Stewart was injured on the set of Snow White and the Huntsman yesterday. The set wrapped for the day and one of the actors, Max Manganello, tweeted that Stewart was not seriously injured and the film will continue shooting on Friday. Get well soon Kristen!

The ever-chic Miss Piggy is featured in the November issue of InStyle magazine. For a pig puppet she is very photogenic.

On Friday, October 21 TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress features a lesbian couple, Meighan and Christina, from Washington D.C. set to pick out two white wedding gowns. I definitely will be tuning in at 9:30 p.m. to see if the brides rock a strapless mermaid or a lace couture dress or … something else.
