Morning Brew – Wednesday, June 23: “Coronation Street” gives Sophie and Sian another kiss, Indrani talks about Lindsay Lohan

Happy Hump Day!

The very reputable National Enquirer claims Ellen DeGeneres will detail her relationship with Anne Heche in her new book. I don’t trust their “source,” but I enjoyed laughing at the quotes they’ve included:

“Ellen’s always taken the high road when it came to divulging secrets about her years with Anne,” a source revealed. “But now she’s ready to spill all the details.”

Then they give us this tidbit:

A few days after their split, Heche had a bizarre meltdown after taking the drug Ecstasy. She was found wandering outside Fresno, Calif., half-naked and shouting strange phrases and obscenities.

Something tells em Ellen isn’t going to be including that in her book, but that’s just me. This source probably has much better intel than I do.

Danielle Staub is keeping the lesbian rumor alive. The reality star talked with Access Hollywood about her relationship with Lori Michaels after their performance on Bravo Monday night. Will we see more of her sexuality on the The Real Housewives of New Jersey?:

Anything is a possibility. Anything is possible. You’ll have to watch and see. I don’t think love has a gender… it’s just something that happens.

I don’t enjoy doubting someone’s bisexuality so instead I will just say that Kim Zolciak played this card first. It didn’t really get her anywhere.

Actress Tracy Wright has passed away from cancer, sadly. Canadians might remember her from the feminist sex film Bubbles Galore as porn star Bubbles Galore’s jealous lesbian assistant Vivian Klitorsky. R.I.P. Tracy.

Navi Rawat has found a new role now that FlashForward has been canceled. Sadly, she won’t be romancing Christine Woods, but she will be feeling the heat in Miami as a new character on Burn Notice. She’ll be playing Kendra, who “seems like the girl next door, but I’m anything but.” Fingers crossed that means lesbian.

The Sophie-Sian romance is playing out again on Coronation Street. Brooke Vincent and Sacha Parkinson were photographed filming some scenes in Manchester Park.

The leather jacket is a nice touch.

Las Aparicio stars Erendira Ibarra (Mariana) and Liz Gallardo (Julia) will be at the Mexico City Pride Parade this Saturday. If you happen upon them, let them know how much AfterEllen.com readers loves their show — especially their most recent love making scene.

On Lie to Me this week, Tores (Monica Raymund) mentioned she’d once slept with a woman but then followed it up with the comment that she had just been experimenting. This comes just a few weeks after Raymund told Latina magazine she’s often mistaken for a lesbian. Weird. Is that supposed to put the rumors to rest? “Tried it, didn’t like it.”

The July issue of Cosmopolitan has a feature on women having feelings for other women. According to our readers PrettyBaby and Persephone, the article does a so-so job of discussing bisexuality. Says PrettyBaby:

At the very end, it mentions how to discuss your feelings for women with “your man.”

See Cosmo? Gay girls read your magazine — no “man” discussion needed.

Lastly, Indrani, photographer and star of the new Bravo show Double Exposure, had some Tweetin’ words with her rumored love interest Lindsay Lohan yesterday. Lindsay was not happy with the description of last night’s Double Exposure episode, which insinuated she was close to losing a job.

Meanwhile, Indrani interviewed with Out magazine and answered questions about her sexuality and relationship with Lindsay.

Lindsay is someone I find incredibly special. I tend to gush about her because I do think she’s pretty terrific. … I think everyone is bisexual. Society pushes us in one direction, but we get attracted to different people. I think attraction is constantly changing. I think it’s one of the beautiful things in life. There are so many possibilities. For me, sexuality is a very raw and powerful thing. It can happen anywhere, and it’s magic when you do fall in love. … I try to keep my relationships private. Let’s leave it at that. Markus made some comment, which I was very upset about because talking about one’s private life is generally not a great idea.

She also Tweeted back to Lindsay’s claims yesterday, claiming the cameras didn’t lie, but she has since deleted her Tweet. Lindsay has had several other responses after watching the show last night.

It’s OK Lindsay. I don’t know anyone watching this show. Everybody’s seen Mean Girls.
