We’ve heard through the grapevine that the TNT medical drama HawthoRNe will reveal a lesbian main character this upcoming season. The show is keeping the new storyline under tight wraps, but our sources tell us young and earnest nurse Kelly (Vanessa Lengies) will come out as a lesbian this fall. No word yet on if Kelly will have a love interest, but one can’t be far behind.
Co-star Jada Pinkett Smith played gay in The Women, albeit too briefly – give her another chance and give Kelly a girlfriend. Win-win.
The gay duo Max & Margaret of Unusually Fine Photography have a video series that’s quite enjoyable. In their latest episode, they announce a contest for you to win their photography of your own gay wedding. I like it because it’s based on Alice in Wonderland. Plus Margaret is very easy on the eyes.
Our pals at The New Gay posted an interview with Bianca Casady of CoCoRosie while the band was in Washington, D.C. for a show. Check out the video in which she talks about her gender/sexual identity and dressing in drag.
The horror film Sweatshop is now on DVD and has a character named Lolli which Fangoria describes as “your typically oversexed lesbian,” played by Krystal Freeman. It looks creepy, but I can’t spot anything particularly oversexed in stills or the trailer. Someone watch it without covering your eyes and let me know.
It’s that time again – time to vote for PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian (vegans included). So choose carefully between Joan Jett, Ellen DeGeneres, Chely Wright, Jane Velez-Mitchell and Portia de Rossi. A lesbian FTW please!
