“Glamour” makes up some famous faces

This month’s Glamour features some of the most iconic images of American women over the last 70 years — reimagined with some fresh Hollywood faces. The women range in impact from activists to television show characters to actresses to athletes. Here are a couple of my favorites:

Camilla Belle as Mary Tyler Moore

Alexis Bledel as Rosie the Riveter

Emma Roberts as Audrey Hepburn

America Ferrera as Dolores Huerta

Chanel Iman as Althea Gibson

Lindsay Lohan as Madonna

Hayden Panettiere as Amelia Earhart

Emma Roberts as Audrey Hepburn and Alexis Bledel as Rosie the Riveter are inspired, while Lindsay Lohan as Madonna frankly looks like the kind of hijinks she might get up to on a rainy Sunday afternoon. There are more images at Glamour.com, including the really odd choice of Emma Stone as Carrie Bradshaw. Not that Emma Stone is bizarre, but the influence of Carrie Bradshaw compared to, say, Michelle Obama (Alicia Keys) is kind of negligible.

Check out all the photos and let us know which one is your favorite.
