Bonnie Hunt will be returning to TV in 2008 with her own talk show. (If you click that link, good luck: The news is really buried, in the third paragraph from the bottom.)
I consider this fantastic news. Hunt is exceptionally smart and funny. If you saw her sitcom Life With Bonnie, you have an inkling of that, and if you’ve ever seen her as a guest on a talk show, you have an even better idea. She’s sharp. And her new talk show has an extra little lucky charm attached to it: The pilot was (or will be, depending on which report you read) “shot on the set of Ellen.” (I assume that means she’s temporarily borrowing Ellen’s talk show space.) That has to be a good sign.
