Let’s dream up some more dream guest stars for “Lost Girl” Season 4

Now that is seems that Lost Girl is handing out fantastic guest star casting news like candy, it’s time to get greedy big. Sure, the news last week that Bomb Girls star Ali Liebert, The L Word/Defiance star Mia Kirshner and needs-no-introduction George Takei would appear in Season 4 of the hit Showcase/Syfy show seemed almost too exciting to bear. But you mustn’t be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.

Lost Girl Executive Producer Emily Andras called the casting news a “LGBTnerdsplsion,” which sounds just about right. But things can always get even better. So let’s make a wish list for the rest of the season. As long as Lost Girl is looking to bring in an all-star cast of actresses who have played gay to guest star, we’re happy to help.

How about Lucy Lawless, Lena Headey or Lisa Ray? And those are just the Ls. Looking for Canadian actresses for the Canadian show? Might we suggest Carrie-Anne Moss, Evangeline Lilly, Malin Akerman or Grace Park (hey, she just left Hawaii Five-O). Also, because why not go crazy, we want some Jaime Murray?

Production started on Friday in Toronto for the fourth season of everyone’s favorite show about a bisexual succubus and her eclectic group of superhuman and regular but still nothing to sneeze at human friends. The fourth season will be 13 episodes and is expected to premiere on Showcase in the fall and on Syfy in early 2014.

According to Showcase, the new season will see “fate cast a wide shadow over the Fae world” and “the lines between Dark and Light fae blurred causing Bo to venture into a journey of discovery.” Lost Girl Executive Producer Jay Firestone promises the follow-up to the Season 3 finale will be “epic.”

Showcase has listed its returning cast so far as Anna Silk, back at work already after having her first child, as Bo as well as Ksenia Solo as Kenzi, Kris Holden-Ried as Dyson, Zoie Palmer as Dr. “Hotpants” Lauren, Rick Howland as Trick, K.C. Collins as Hale, Paul Amos as Vex, and Emmanuelle Vaugier as The Morrigan.

Yes, I know, no word of Rachel Skarsten as Tamsin. After the Season 3 finale, Skarsten tweeted out that she would back officially for Season 4, but has since deleted the tweet. Though in a recently published interview Skarsten talks about returning. So please, Valkubus fans, pace your wailing and gnashing of teeth so they won’t be worn down to anxious stubs by the time the season rolls around.

An Instagram shot from Solo on the cast’s first read-through shows a glimpse of Dyson and someone named Selene. Though, on the plus side that means Dyson survived that smoky car crash.

Oh, man. I’m excited just for that glimpse of Dyson’s role. So, thoughts on the new season? Other names to add to the dream guest star wishlist? All I know is it’s going to be a long, long summer. And fall. And early winter. Sigh.
