Speaking of Foster, TV Guide asked Jane Lynch about her thoughts of Foster’s Golden Globe acceptance speech and here’s what she said, “It was really moving and touching. I loved that she shared a little bit about her inner life with us, and what she said about her mother [who suffers from dementia] broke my heart. I like the fact that she operates without telling everybody what she’s doing. It was a big moment that she let us into her private thoughts, and I’m really grateful I was there for it.”

The important documentary Anita, the story of feminist heroine Anita Hill, screened at Sundance over the weekend. More than 20 years after Hill’s sexual harassment testimony in front of the U.S. Senate Judicial Committee, Hill received a standing ovation at Saturday’s big screening. Anita will show three more times at the festival and all three shows are sold out.
Speaking of Sundance, yesterday HBO Documentary Films acquired the TV rights for Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer. The film “chronicles the controversial imprisonment of three female members of the Russian punk musical group, who were arrested and charged with religious hatred after they performed a 40-second “punk prayer” inside Moscow’s biggest cathedral to protest the election of president Vladimir Putin in 2011.”
