Morning Brew – Fri. Oct. 19: Sara Gilbert celebrates Spirit Day, Cynthia Nixon says no “Sex and the City 3”

Good morning and Happy Spirit Day!

Everyone everywhere is wearing purple in the name of LGBT pride and acceptance. So if you see someone on the street today wearing a shade of violet, I advocate going up and giving them a hug.

For the record, I’m wearing purple pants today.

In the web series Squaresville‘s season finale, Zelda comes out to her friend Esther and things get weird.

If you like this episode, check out the rest of the season at youtube.com/SquaresvilleSeries.

Amber Heard was all smiles at the Guess Girl Fragrance Launch recently. I bet she smells like loveliness.

Michelle Tea talked with The Rumpus about starting her own Sister Spit Press. She’s a Renaissance Woman if there ever was one.

All the kids are falling into place for The Fosters. This means we’ll have our lesbian mom show on ABC Family in no time!

Pam Anderson wants to have a threesome with Christine Quinn and her new wife. I kid. Actually Pam invited the out NY mayoral candidate to an event called Night of New York Class where she’ll be part of an initiative to do away with horse-drawn carriages. She wrote to Christine:

I know you are a busy woman, but I’d like to invite you to be my date for the evening in hopes you’ll consider being the 24th council supporter. Please let me know if you can join me on Tuesday. And please feel free to bring your wife – three’s company!

Will she accept? Won’t she? Will she bring her wife? Scandal.

Cynthia Nixon is not interested in another Sex and the City movie. But as Justin Bieber says, never say never.

Anyone But Me is releasing Seasons 2 and 3 on DVD and the discs will include “commentary and never before seen video, like the exclusive footage where Nicole Pacent has a poignant and emotional farewell to the series.” To celebrate, both Nicole and Rachael Hip-Flores will be in Candy Bar in London on November 7 to do a signing. Bring your boobs, they’ll bring a sharpie!

If you want to support something worthwhile today, check out this Kickstarter campaign for Whom You Love, a documentary that explores the research and science behind why we are totally gay.
