Lesbians: We’re everywhere — including the World Bodypainting Festival in Austria. And we’re winning second place! Well, out contestant Magdalena O’Connor did. Congrats!

Out filmmaker Tiona M. has shot a film called Bumming Cigarettes which she says is about “the need to have a real and honest dialogue between black gay men and lesbians in regards to how HIV/AIDS has affected our communities, and how we can work together to work against stigma and provide better space for members of our community who live with the disease.” Here she is talking more about the project.

So the big news of the day: Jane Lynch has teamed up with Chicago Cubs owner Laura Ricketts, Billie Jean King and activist Urvashi Vaid to create LPAC, an organization that will help to back pro-lesbian political candidates. Can you say HELL YES?

Sandra Bernhard and Melanie Griffith plays ex-lovers in the new gay series DTLA. The show will be airing in Canada on OUT TV and will come the the States soon after.

Check out the trailer.

If you watch The Real L Word this season, you’ll notice Tucky Williams popping up at some point, as she and Laura Petracca of Hunter Valentine are dating. She said of the reality show experience:

I basically just showed up. I’m pretty laid back, so when they wanted to mike me and point a camera at me, I just went along with it. I wasn’t going to be a jerk and refuse to participate. I didn’t know if I would like it, but I found it to be tremendous fun. My concern was that there is always the possibility that they would portray me in an unfavorable light. But I had a blast. I just went with it.

Cat Cora was cited for a DUI after she rear-ended someone a few weeks ago and her blood alcohol was twice the legal limit. She was reportedly “fleeing from a fight with her partner.” Ruh-roh. Her statement today:

I deeply regret my decision to drive that evening after my designated driver became unavailable. I learned a very important lesson from this experience and take full accountability for my actions. This will never happen again.

Cat’s arraignment will happen July 26.
