Morning Brew – Thurs. May 10: Gossip on the cover of “Diva,” Ellen on the President’s support of gay marriage

Good morning!

This is my last Brew for a week or so as I’ll be celebrating a belated honeymoon with my honey in Maui. Heather Hogan will be keeping you abreast of all the lesbian goings-on as she takes over the column tomorrow through next Friday. Thanks in advance, HH!

So how about that President, eh? Ellen commended him on her show yesterday for his support of gay marriage.

Our Hook Up columnist Anna Pulley penned an essay for The Rumpus that you will like. I know you will because Anna is such a good writer and I’m always trying to get her to write more for AfterEllen.

Courtney Love and Linda Perry went on Access Hollywood to discuss the upcoming L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center’s star-studded event, An Evening with Women (Saturday, May 19 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA). They joke about being domestic partners in what is kind of an awkward interview.

GlobalGrind has a feature called “Most Stylish Lesbians” and, apparently, there are only five of us. (BTW, the woman they call Amber Heard’s girlfriend is not – it’s photographer iO Tillett Wright.)

If you want True Blood spoilers regarding Tara’s possible demise, then you can read them here.

Check out the promo for next week’s Glee body-swap episode. I don’t know if I like Santana as Artie better or Artie as Santana. Also, Jane Lynch looks hot as Sue Sylvester.

Lady Gaga is going to be on The Simpsons finale and it looks kind of awesome. Of course Lisa Simpson is a Little Monster.

You can stream the entire new Gossip album, A Joyful Noise, before it releases May 22. Just in time for the weekend!

Speaking of, Beth Ditto and Hannah Blile are on the cover of this month’s Diva.

The New York Times has a great profile of out director Lynn Shelton. I can’t wait to see Your Sister’s Sister. She’s working on her new film now, starring Ellen Page.
