Morning Brew – Tuesday, Dec. 6: Rosie gets engaged, lesbian moms on “American Supernanny” tonight

Good morning!

Congratulations to Rosie O’Donnell, who announced yesterday she is engaged to partner Michelle Rounds. Rosie talks about where they go on dates in Chicago in the new issue of Michigan Avenue magazine.

Showtime has ordered a second season of Web Therapy, which includes scenes with Rosie as well as other stars like Meryl Streep. I’m pretty sure it’s in the Constitution that you have to watch anything that Meryl Streep is part of.

Here’s a list I know you’ll enjoy: The Five Most Bad Ass Female Movie Leads.

Writers (and partners) Eileen Myles and Leopoldine Core have written “17 Fairy Tales” together. Check it out!

Syd tha Kid‘s project The Internet will release Purple Naked Ladies on Dec. 20. Here’s a teaser for the album.

Angels Crest is available on demand! That’s the film with Kate Walsh and Elizabeth McGovern as girlfriends. Here’s a look at the sad, sad movie.

I’m jealous of New Yorkers! The Brooklyn Museum will host Newspaper Fiction: The New York Journalism of Djuna Barnes, 1913-1919 at the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art January 20 through August. I guess that gives me some time to make a trip!

If you want to buy some lesbian DVDs for the holidays, check out Breaking Glass Pictures. They are hosting a sale for 30% off all movies! I recommend The Final Girl or Gigola.

Tonight on Lifetime’s American Supernanny, a lesbian couple wants help for their hectic family. Amy Paul and Mandy Sheckles of Camby, Indiana have quadruplets plus two other kids! Can you even fathom?

Today in Lesbianish TV: The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Patricia Cornwell on The View, The Talk (CBS 2 p.m.), *Roseanne (Oxygen 2:30 p.m.), *Friends (TBS 4:30 p.m.), The Rosie Show (OWN 7 p.m.), Glee (Fox 8 p.m.), Bound (TMAX 8 p.m.), The Rachel Maddow Show (MSNBC 9 p.m.), America’s Supernanny (Lifetime 9 p.m.), *Degrassi: TNG (TeenNick 10 p.m.) (Thanks Roni!)
