Jane Lynch is on the cover of October’s American Way magazine. In the American Airlines magazine (guess who flew American yesterday? Give up? Me.), Lynch reveals that she never shoots scenes with the Glee students and talks about how she transformed her bachelor pad when she married Lara Embry. Of her memoir, Happy Accidents, Lynch says, “I didn’t write the memoir to help people, but ultimately I think it will be helpful as far as its message to just relax and go easy on yourself. What I would like to do, if I could go back in time, is put my hands on my shoulders and say, ‘You’ll be fine.'”

Out in Chicago spans diverse stories and perspectives and explores issues such as language, gender expression, formation of identity, the role of LGBT people in politics and culture, and family relationships. It balances private stories with public perspectives in relation to gender, community, and identity and spotlights the inspiring and charged heritage of this diverse Chicago community, whose history truly belongs to all of us.
The exhibit is open and runs through March 26, 2012.
There is good news and bad news for out rock star Jessie J. The good news? She finally got her foot cast removed! The bad news? She will suffer from arthritis for the rest of her life. In an interview with the Daily Mail, J revealed that four months in the foot cast took its toll on her body.
I’ve lost so much weight. My left leg has lost all its muscle. I don’t like it. Things got so bad my mum had to move in with me. I fell out of the bath, I couldn’t stand, cook, get up by myself. At first they gave me loads of painkillers at the hospital, but I didn’t take them after that. I didn’t want to become addicted. What sort of role model would I be if I became addicted? When I first came out of hospital I was so frustrated I broke down. That’s what set me off crying, feeling so helpless. I was heartbroken when I had to cancel my US tour dates with Katy Perry. It has been a slow recovery. I can’t keep fit, I just have to watch what I eat. I still love a kebab.
J’s next big challenge? Building her strength for the 2012 Olympics as she’s the new face of its sponsors, Glaceau Vitaminwater.
Tonight at 10:30 p.m., TLC’s Cake Boss features a lesbian couple aiming to be the first same-sex couple to be married in Long Island, NY. Five bucks says there will be at least one rainbow on their wedding cake.
