Afternoon Delight: A clip from “Gaga by Gautier,” Meryl Streep honored by Kennedy Center

Happy birthday to Evan Rachel Wood. The Ides of March actress turns 24 today.

Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be any additional coverage of Lady Gaga, the artist has more to share, much more. On Monday, September 12, The CW will air Gaga by Gautier. Check out the below preview of the upcoming show in which Gaga is referred to as the Mother Monster. There are “no questions off the table” in this revealing interview. Do you have any pressing questions for Gaga? (I want to know when her 15 minutes are up. Answer: Never.)

Next week marks the 10th anniversary of the horrific World Trade Center attack. Gaga, who is a native New Yorker, has teamed up with Fran DrescherPauly DNasJuliane Hough and Drake Bell for the official 9/11 Tribute Movement. Their goal is to accumulate one million tributes so if you have a story you want to share, submit it to the official Facebook page of the Tribute Movement.

If you’re a fan of the Deschanel sisters (I’m on Team Emily), check out younger sister Zooey‘s pilot episode of her comedy New Girl available on Hulu and iTunes. The show makes its official debut Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 9/8c on Fox.

Academy Award-winning actress Meryl Streep will be honored by the Kennedy Center this year, along with Neil Diamond, singer Barbara Cook, cellist Yo-Yo Ma and composer Sonny Rollins. The gala will take place on December 4 and will be broadcast on CBS on December 27. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle will be in the audience when Streep accepts her most recent award. Streep must have an entire back house full of statues, medals and ribbons. (When I was 10 I was given my first and only gold statue — a bowling trophy engraved with the words “Honorable Mention.”)

Speaking of awards, singer P.J. Harvey won the prestigious Mercury Prize, again. She is the only artist to win the award twice. Harvey was honored this time for her Let England Shake album.

And speaking of amazing singers, check out k.d. lang‘s 30-minute interview on “World Café.” The award-winning out artist talks about Buddhism and her admiration of Joni Mitchell, and the segment also features songs from her album Sing It Loud.

Adele unfortunately can not sing it loud, due to a chest infection, and has been canceling shows left and right. (Get well soon!) If you had tickets to one of her concerts and you’re greatly disappointed you won’t be seeing the powerhouse live, try to soothe your sadness with Adele’s lovely face on the latest issue of British Vogue.

Charlize Theron is one sexy lady. Well, usually. Check out Theron’s poster for her latest film Young Adult, written by Diablo Cody. This movie is going to be a blast!

ABC has released photos for their upcoming one-hour Modern Family Season 3 premiere. Scene-stealer Sofia Vergara was snapped posing atop a lucky horse. New episodes of Modern Family return Wednesday, September 21.

Get ready for the 2nd Annual Revival of East Coast Tour of Black Lesbian Poets. The tour runs from October 6 to 15 and features lesbian poets during a night of music and libation. The tour will take place inside people’s homes. That’s right, it won’t be held at a rented venue, it will be at someone’s house so make sure to wipe your feet on the mat before you enter.
