Afternoon Delight: Beverly and Christina team with Linda Perry on “The Voice,” Obama honors the WNBA champs

Good afternoon and happy birthday to Clementine Ford! The L Word actress turns 32 today.

Did you all tune in to watch Vicci Martinez and Beverly McClellan on last night’s The Voice? Martinez and McClellan both sang original songs and then teamed up with their mentors for two show stopping numbers. My favorite performance of the night was when McClellan sang “Beautiful” with her coach Christina Aguilera (my wife calls her Xtina) and rock legend Linda Perry (who wrote “Beautiful”).

After the show Perry tweeted about her experience on The Voice:

I wonder how Aguilera “tricked” her?

On tonight’s season finale the winner of The Voice will be announced after an hour of banter and performances. Martinez will take the stage with Pat Monahan (of Train), McClellan will perform with Ryan Tedder (from OneRepublic) and finalist Dia Frampton will sing a duet with Miranda Lambert. And none other than Stevie Nicks will team up with finalist Javier Colon. (Someone in my house is really excited about this!) So who’s going to win The Voice? EW says neither Martinez or McClellan will take home the title and predict the winner will be either Frampton or Colon. I think Frampton will win. Who do you think will win it all?

If you’re a resident of New York State and you’re ready to get married check out Manhattan’s first ever “Pop Up Chapel.” On July 30 Central Park will host an event that will sponsor free and legal weddings. If you want to participate you need to go to the City Clerk’s office, secure a marriage license and sign up for a time slot on the Pop-Up Chapel website. (Same-sex couples can apply for marriage licenses beginning July 5.) The Pop-Up Chapel will provide “a legal officiant, photographer, decorations and refreshments for participating couples and their friends and families. The event, in conjunction with New York based marriage equality organizations, will also benefit charities that support LGBTQ youth.”

Scarlett Johansson has signed on for Judd Apatow‘s new film Can a Song Save Your Life? Apatow is producing the film, which is written and directed by John Carney (Once.) The film follows “a washed-up A&R man who forms a passionate bond with a young singer-songwriter (Johansson) from out of town.” A film about an old man and young hot girl? Wasn’t that called Lost in Translation?

The role will require Johansson to sing but since she’s already a professional singer (check out her collaboration with Pete Yorn on the album Break Up) the voluptuous actress shouldn’t have a problem. The film’s male lead has yet to be cast but rumors suggest The Kids Are All Right‘s Mark Ruffalo might be in the mix.

SuperPass is looking for hosts to recap Big Brother Season 13. SuperPass has selected ten finalists that are competing for the morning recap show and a brassy lesbian named Michele from the Bronx wants your support! Check out Michele’s audition (video #2) and please vote for her. You have until Monday, July 4 to vote and you can vote once every six hours.

Did you know that 70% of all women can’t accurately identify all their lady parts? Can you? Summer’s Eve wants you to take the ID the V Challenge (Please don’t do this at work.) And if you participate Summer’s Eve will donate $1 (up to $25,000) to their nonprofit partner, i am that girl (whose mission is to “inspire authentic confidence in girls and women everywhere so that they in turn, can positively and significantly impact the world around them”), all in the name of helping further women’s body awareness. I really want to make a joke here but I guess I shouldn’t. I’m totally in the 70th percentile. (P.S. My vagina doesn’t look like a talking hand. Should it?)

As reported over at Pam’s House Blend, today President Obama honored the 2010 WNBA Champions Seattle Storm in the White House Rose Garden.

The White House posted the following message on their Facebook page:

The White House has its own Facebook page? I have a feeling George Washington is rolling over in his grave.

Lesbian/Bi Video of the Day:

For the last few years Lindsay Lohan has been all over the news and gossip sites due to her issues with drugs and alcohol, her crazed family members and her numerous arrests, but today Lohan is finally free! Lohan finished her 35-day sentence under house arrest and had her ankle bracelet removed. (Can I have her ankle bracelet?)

Lohan is free to leave her house, walk around and then walk right back into her house when she’s done outside. Lohan’s rep told E!, “I spoke with her (Lohan) and she is eager to return to fulfilling her community service obligation which she has been unable to perform during house arrest.”

Congratulations to Lohan! Now, I hope she goes back to her true calling: Acting! I miss my little Lohan. Check out her layered performance in the 1998 Disney film The Parent Trap.
