Morning Brew – Thursday, June 16: “The Talk” hosts on their girl crushes, Joan Jett sues over The Runaways tribute album

Joan Jett and Cherie Curie are suing Main Man Records over the Runaways tribute album they are releasing on June 28. The singers are upset their names are being used to promote the album, which they had nothing to do with, and is being spearheaded by a former employee of Joan’s.

Their lawyer says, “This isn’t about money. This is strictly about preserving reputation and quality that both Joan and Cherie are known for.” Main Man said it will “vigorously defend itself.” This should be interesting.
