Afternoon Delight: Jane Lynch will host the Emmys, new music from Wendy and Lisa

It’s official! Out Glee star Jane Lynch will host the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards airing Sunday, September 18 on Fox. (Nominees will be announced on July 14.)

In a Fox press release, Lynch said, “I am tickled pink to be hosting the Primetime Emmys on Fox. I’m looking forward to singing, dancing and sporting my finest tracksuit.” I am equally tickled, and I’m officially requesting some sort of song and dance duet with Lynch and Sofia Vergara (Modern Family). It would also be cool if Lynch used a megaphone instead of a microphone for the show. Just a suggestion.

My dogs will be so jealous. All they have to show for getting fixed are tiny T-shirts that read, “My moms had me spayed and all I got was this lousy T-shirt. And a scar.”
