Morning Brew – Thursday, March 17: “Tomboy” coming to a theater near you, Eilzabeth Hurley on the set of “Wonder Woman”

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Are you celebrating with some green? Some beer? Some redheads?

Did you miss Jane Lynch on Jimmy Kimmel this week? Here’s part one for you where she wears a blazer (naturally) and talks about her new movie Paul (that she’s in for one scene).

There’s a new reality show being cast that is going to have LGBT people living on the Jersey Shore, but it won’t be anything like Jersey Shore. (And, yes, this is different than the actual “gay Jersey Shore show that was being cast last year.) According to director Kim Friedman, “We envision it to be a very sophisticated show, with each character having a unique and fresh take on the world, with the fact that they are LGBT providing the community and context.” You hear that? Only sophisticated gay girls apply to be on this reality show on the shore!

Make of this what you will: Anna Paquin on a beach with two chicks who like to hug each other while walking.

Elizabeth Hurley is hard at work on Wonder Woman already. So far, it looks pretty amazing, and I’m judging based on her outfit alone.

Malaysia has censored Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.” The lyrics “No matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian, transgendered life, I’m on the right track, baby” have been distorted into unrecognizable mumbles. They probably regret they can’t do that to the whole song.

Doesn’t it suck we aren’t at SXSW? Especially for this year’s GayBiGayGay. The gayest part of the fest is a full day of queer music and performances from artists like Gretchen Phillips, Shunda K and The Shondes. At least now there’s a book about the annual event, which let’s you experience the fun, complete with two mixtape playlists.

Also at SXSW this year, the debut of The Revival, a documentary film about the first ever women in hip-hop showcase that happened at the fest in 2010. It was made by out MC Invincible and also features bisexual rapper Psalm One, as well as many other talented hip-hop stars.

Water Lilies director Celine Sciamma has a new film called Tomboy, which debuted at Berlinale recently, winning a special jury award. It’s finally gotten distributors picking it up all over the world, and will hit theaters soon. The French film follows 10-year-old Laure as she lives her life dressed in boys’ clothing.

I enjoyed Water Lilies, so I’ll be seeing this one when it comes to the U.S. (Thanks Jenni.)

Spoiler: There’s tons of girl kissing in the spin-the-bottle game from this new video by lesbian-fronted band Finding Jupiter. It’s for their track “Do It Again,” which you will probably have in your head long after you watch.

Do you dig Sarah Masimore’s voice? “Do it again, do it again!”

Today in Lesbianish TV: The Ellen DeGeneres Show (check local listings), 8 Simple Rules, Iron Chef America (Food Network 8 p.m.) and The Rachel Maddow Show (MSNBC 9 p.m., midnight, 4 a.m.) (Thanks Roni!)
