She will be recurring as “Sarah, the mother of Kara Sounders (Zoe Levin), a wealthy, driven, dedicated and fashionable woman who has connections and usually gets what she wants.” Deadline also reports she is “the alpha dog in her lesbian relationship and is hellbent on finding a way to move her daughter up the organ-donation list to receive a new heart.” Cue a storyline about how the angry lesbian is the one in need of a heart.

Sylvia Townsend Warner’s whimsical take on postwar womanhood and the quest for meaning, subtitled “The Loving Huntsman”, has a sharp edge, a satirical eye and a covert, untamed, eroticism. Townsend Warner was an unconventional lesbian. For her, inter-war women’s potential was what mattered most. Women, says Lolly to the devil, “know they are dynamite” and simply long for “the concussion that may justify them”.
