Morning Brew – Sarah McLachlan talks making out with women

Good morning!

Kristen Merlin is safe again this week on The Voice. Phew!

A&E is going to Americanize The Returned. Sounds great but keep the lesbians, OK?

Rosie O’Donnell is coming back to The Fosters. She’ll appear in the August episodes.

Andy Cohen asked Cameron Diaz if she ever swam in the lady pond. The answer: Yes.

Sarah McLachlan has definitely made out with some women, too.

Maybe 1992. It was with my second record (“Solace”) and I remember going to do a gig in Boston. I hung out with a lot of women after the show and, uhh, there was one bartender in particular who was really hot! And I’m not gonna say anything else, but yeah. (Laughs)

People are always interested in how people bend. I’ve never shied away from it. I mean, I’m pretty straight. Let me just put it this way: I’ve never had sex with a woman. I haven’t. I’ve made out with more than one woman, but it just sort of happened. And there may have been alcohol involved with one of them. (Laughs)

Glenn Beck is the ultimate idiot with bizarre lesbian fantasies. Here’s what the d-bag said this week:
“I’m telling you, I’m telling you, Hillary Clinton will be having sex with a woman on the, on the White House desk if it becomes popular. She will be. She’ll be like, ‘Look, the arc of history wasn’t ready for a president to be a lesbian and have sex on the desk.'”

The Danish Girl is finally getting made and Eddie Redmayne has joined the cast. The story follows a Danish painter Einar Wegener who has a sex change to become a woman and remains married to his wife Gerda. Both Nicole Kidman and Gwyneth Paltrow have been linked to the film, but it’s taken years to be get going so they’ve likely moved on.

Whenever there are cheerleaders or witches in a movie, it’s highly possible there will be some brief moments of girls kissing. You’re welcome.

Some unreleased stories Octavia Butler wrote early in her career are going to be published this June.
