Afternoon Delight: Paulson and Lange will be back for S3 of “AHS,” “Portlandia” stars go shopping at an actual feminist bookstore

Good afternoon!

Tina Fey graces the cover of the latest Rolling Stone magazine. Oh yeah, and her 30 Rock co-stars Tracy Morgan and Alec Baldwin are there too. Personally, I think Fey should be in the Superman garb.

Ryan Murphy has confirmed that Sarah Paulson and Jessica Lange will be back for Season 3 of American Horror Story, which is “really about female power”. (So I assume that means fewer rape scenes?) The show, which scares the shit out of me, will leave the asylum and “take place in modern times, over a mix of several cities and be funnier” than the current installment.

Watch as Portlandia stars Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein go shopping at a feminist bookstore IRL:

Actress Rosemarie DeWitt (My Sister’s Sister) is leaving the HBO show The Newsroom. DeWitt was originally cast as in a recurring role as litigator Rebecca Halliday, but her dance card is now too full to keep her commitment to the show. An HBO rep said, “As the production schedule for Season 2 of The Newsroom has shifted, Rosemarie DeWitt has encountered scheduling conflicts and will no longer be able to continue in her role.”

Helen Mirren, Mary-Louise Parker and Catherine Zeta-Jones team up for the action film Red 2.

Toni Collette will be returning to the small screen. Collette has signed on for the CBS thriller series Hostages. According to Vulture, “The show will detail a family embroiled in a political conspiracy, with Collette playing a surgeon who is tapped to operate on the president.”

Emma Stone looks like an American Apparel model on February’s W magazine. (Gurl, put some clothes on before you catch a chill!)

Reese Witherspoon plays the lone female in the thriller Mud. (Seriously, can’t Hollywood make movies that include more than one woman at a time?)

Last night, Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys hugged it out at the premiere of The Inevitable Defeat Of Mister And Pete in Park City, UT. Keys will be singing the National Anthem at the Superbowl this year.

This is 40 has a NSFW blooper reel and if you fast forward to the 1:35 mark you can see Leslie Mann jiggle Megan Fox‘s breasts. Jealous?

Check out the poster of a gun-welding January Jones for the indie film Sweetwater. Do you think Jones looks tough?

This weekend, out comedian Fortune Feimster (Chelsea Lately) will be headlining Hyenas Comedy Night Club in Fort Worth, TX.

If you want to be infuriated, read about how The Association of Bragg Officers’ Spouses Club refused to admit the wife of a lesbian Army officer and then suggested the woman use a “guest membership” instead. How insulting!

Tweet of the Day!

Actress Sheetal Sheth (I Can’t Think Straight, The World Unseen) shared one of my favorite quotes of all time with her Twitter followers.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!
